About
A small coordination service for a common errand.
VaxFinder helps people in the U.S. find a nearby pharmacy and send a request for help arranging a seasonal flu shot visit — for themselves, their household, or someone they care for. A real person follows up.
What VaxFinder is, and isn't
What we are
- A search tool for pharmacies near you, built on public map data.
- A way to send one request for your household, with the days and times you'd prefer.
- A team of operators who call you back, check with the pharmacy, and tell you the outcome.
What we aren't
- Not a pharmacy or clinic. We don't give vaccines.
- Not a government agency, and not connected to CDC, HHS, or vaccines.gov.
- Not affiliated with, partnered with, or endorsed by any pharmacy chain or store.
- Not a source of medical advice. Questions about whether a vaccine is right for you belong with a pharmacist or doctor.
Who runs it
Who operates VaxFinder
VaxFinder is operated by Medical Supply Services LLC, 723 W Jackson St, Cookeville, TN 38501.
Our operators are trained to handle requests and contact details carefully. They are not pharmacists, doctors, or nurses, and they don't make medical decisions. Staff sign in with multi-factor authentication, and every time someone views your contact details it is logged.
You can reach us through the contact page. Privacy questions go to admin@vaxfinder.online.
Search results
How we sort results
Results are sorted by distance from the place you searched. When two pharmacies are about the same distance away, listings our team has verified come first.
No one can pay to rank higher or to be listed. We have no business arrangements with any pharmacy, and chain names appear only so you can recognize the location.
Listing checks
How listings are verified
Every listing starts as “Not yet verified by VaxFinder.” When an operator checks a listing — for example, by calling the pharmacy — they record the source and the date, and the listing shows “Verified by VaxFinder” with that date.
Even a verified listing can change. Hours, services, and vaccine stock are set by the pharmacy, so always confirm with the pharmacy before you go. We never show a flu shot service as confirmed unless an operator has verified it.

Data sources and attribution
We rely on open data made by others. Here is what we use and under which license.
- Pharmacy listings — OpenStreetMap
- Pharmacy names, addresses, and any listed hours or services come from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0). OpenStreetMap copyright and license (opens in a new tab). If a listing is wrong, you can fix it on OpenStreetMap or tell us.
- ZIP codes and places — GeoNames
- ZIP code and city locations come from the GeoNames postal code data, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). We use it on our own server, so a ZIP code search doesn't leave VaxFinder. GeoNames (opens in a new tab) · CC BY 4.0 license (opens in a new tab).
- Map tiles — OpenFreeMap
- The optional map view uses tiles from OpenFreeMap (opens in a new tab), built from OpenStreetMap data. Tiles load only when you open the map; see the Cookie Policy for what that means for your privacy.
- Health and coverage information
- Facts about flu shots and coverage come from public sources such as CDC, HealthCare.gov, HRSA, and vaccines.gov. Each one is linked where it's used, with the date we last checked it.
