Community help — honestly, not yet.
We'd like VaxFinder to work alongside the people and groups who already help their neighbors. Right now, it doesn't. We're saying so plainly.

What community help could look like
These are possibilities we're open to exploring. None of them exist yet, and any of them would come with clear rules about privacy and consent.
Help for people who'd rather not use a website
Neighbors, caregivers, or local groups could help someone send a request by phone or in person — with that person's permission.
Shared requests for a building or group
A senior residence or community group could coordinate several households at once, while each person keeps control of their own details.
Better local information
Volunteers could help us check pharmacy listings — hours, phone numbers, whether a location vaccinates children — and correct the public map data at the source.
Plain-language guides
Community organizations could help us review our guides, so they answer the questions people in their area actually ask.
Ground rules
What any partnership would have to respect
- No one's personal details are shared with an organization without that person's clear permission.
- No selling or sharing of data for advertising, ever.
- No implied endorsement: we would name a partner only with a written agreement, and only describe what the partnership actually does.
- No medical advice from volunteers.
